This week I saw many lessons of LOVE.
The most powerful love I felt was in my clinic room, and was the love of a mother; and the angel that was around her. It filled my room with a golden light that words cannot even describe. And I realised that without love in our hearts, both my client and I would not have seen or experienced this love either.

Do you know how truly loved and supported you are? If you stop and listen you can feel it… there are no words to describe it but you will know. And when you start to ‘listen’ the answers will come even when you don’t even know the question.
I met with a colleague this week, a very special man, and although I hadn’t seen it coming, I got a bit of a self-confidence ass kick 🙂
He sent me home to write a list of 100 things that I like about myself. I drove home wondering how on earth I could even get past 10, let alone to 100! And if I cannot manage it how am I meant to ask my clients to do this exercise to help them love and appreciate themselves?
And as I pondered over the incredible day that I had just had, the amazing sunset I witnessed on my way home, and the profound support I feel in my life from my friends and work colleagues, and the love I feel in my clinic as I witness healing; I realised that in every day, we are given the key to our own hearts and healing.
Every day, we are reminded of how we are an important piece in this jigsaw puzzle called life.
I realised that, if every day I pay attention to everything around me, that I will get at least one reminder in my day of the person who I am. And this means at least 365 reminders of who I am and the importance of my path in the coming year. I’ll take that!!
And so to the importance of the heart of a woman:
This is one of the most beautiful and meaningful quotes I have read:
The same colleague that ass kicked my self-belief up a few pegs (because none of us should hold ourselves back with poor self-belief, we are meant to shine), reminded me this week of how every woman deserves to be nurtured.
He told me that a true and honourable man will love and support his woman’s inner light and her gifts to the world, without question.
He told me that every woman deserves a love so deep that it lets her inner light shine unconditionally. And a man’s role is to protect his woman, such that her heart can guide, heal, and nourish humanity. It is women who hold the divine strength and ability to heal the world; and we are now in a time where it is more crucial than ever that women are supported into their strengths.
And likewise for men to step back from the aggressive domineering ego and to step into a softer approach; from how they parent to how they manage corporations, and even govern countries. What was, didn’t work; and what is, most certainly isn’t working.
Not every man likes his soul; and when this happens he may try to squeeze the light out of (his) women. I have experienced this first hand and it almost suffocated my light, my love, and my inspiration; I honestly believe a guardian angel helped me to find my inner strength to know that I had sufficient love in heart to walk away.
Women the world over, love yourselves first and you will never let anyone take your light away… and when your light shines bright, you heal everyone around you.
It is self-less to love yourself, not selfish. The only time we are selfish; is when we guard our hearts and don’t let our love shine.
And when the ONE appears in your life, love him unabashedly, dance silly, laugh deep, give your heart generously and trust and believe that your inner knowing will guide you to know you are safe… to be all that you are; and to support him to be all that he is.
Another friend just now reminded me that in nurturing your self first, you remember you are enough and thus know you can also nurture others.
Our Deepest Fear
by Marianne Williamson from A Return To Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
